Model Soda

Many people are too young to remember anything but the modern soda vending machines. In recent times, all you have to do is to put in some quarters (or dollar bills) and out rolls a can or bottle of pop. Now you can get old fashioned Coca Cola machines that work like they did in the good old days.

The basic concept of a Coca Cola machine back then was that the cola was kept ice cold in a floor chest cooler for self service. When you wanted a drink, you went to the Coca Cola machines and opened it up for yourself. You picked up a bottle and removed the cap on the bottle opener attached to the side of the machine. Then you went to the cashier and paid for your Coca Cola.

If you decide to shop for Coca Cola machines, the first thing to look for is the bright red background and white Coca Cola logo. Make sure the paint is well-applied and the logo is clearly embossed on all sides. There should be a logo on each of the four sides, as well as the top and underneath sides of the lid. This is the 1930s model style.

Of course, the overall construction of the Coca Cola machines is the most important practical aspect of your purchase. Look for cooler models that have a deep box for storing not only Cokes, but also foods like salads and cold desserts. If you prefer a refrigerated model, find the ones that have a good coolant system. Since you do not have to add ice to these, there will be more room for soda. It should hold over 80 cans.

When you are buying Coca Cola machines, think of the extras. You might find machines with bottle openers and bottle cap catchers identical to the old fashioned models. Construction details are important, too. One example would be a set of wheels so that the Coca Cola machines could be moved easily. The soda cooler should definitely be made of metal like pressed steel.

The powder coating should resist both chipping and rust. The size is important, as well. You will want to look at fairly large Coca Cola machines, at least 30 inches tall and 25 inches wide. You will be looking for a Coca Cola floor chest soda cooler with every authentic detail.

1930s and 1940s model Coca Cola machines are scarce. The ones that do still exist are owned by people who are not likely to want to sell them. If you want your own, your best chance is to get an authentic replica of the original Coca Cola machines of yesteryear.

How can you create a volcano model without baking soda and vinegar?

any websites? please answer

A good experiment would be the “elephant toothpaste” experiment. But you would need to get ahold of some potassium iodide, hydrogen peroxide and liquid soap. You mix peroxide with some soap together, then add a small amount of the potassium iodide solution. This causes the peroxide to release oxygen, which makes the solution foam a good bit. It isn’t as fast as baking soda and vinegar, but you can make it faster if you have a higher concentration of peroxide (store bought stuff is around 3%). You can also add dyes to it if you like.
