Remember when CB radios

My partner and owner of a car rental company located in South Florida. This was the late'60s and early 70s. An important part is our travel agency business. Each of us made trips twice a year to visit and thank you for these officers for their support. My area was from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Cleveland, Ohio, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and everything else.

Having the need to give a lot of brochures and not with standing the fact that we could not we afford the luxury of flying that we use our rental car. They were equipped with AM radios for entertainment. Any person who traveled on the road knows that the use of this form of entertainment is at best frustrating.

Having a sense of humor and fun, I wish to ie the line of a joke he knew. Maybe the joke told hundreds of times before and if I laugh at the line I said drilling any the joke. It was my entertainment for the long term.

Now I should mention that my wife is not the time for me last week he left on Saturday evening. We did go home and around 10 in the evening I'm gonna change my clothes, my bag in the car start and to conduct 18 to 20 hours non-stop to the city of my travel plans. I would arrive on Sunday afternoon ready to see my first official trip begins Monday AM.

Given the above, you can imagine how the camera was annoying, especially in the dead of night. Then I heard of the citizen's band radios. I can not tell you how my world has changed for the better. Besides the usual jokes from time to time there is humor. One day I had an hour's drive along the inter in Ohio and heard two pilots. Older guy, "Well, if I gives the time you'll get friendly. You want to stop and get coffee at the next truck stop. I am looking for friendship and talk about my family. I will show that even some photos. You see I have two girls well. You may want to date one of them. Maybe even married. "

Young friends, "Sounds good to me. What's wrong with that."
