Last night I spilled some Cherry Italian Ice on my unstained, unprotected, etc. wooden cabinet. How to clean?

It’s a wooden cabinet, but I know it’s not stained. It probably has some kind of coating, but I’m not sure.

I tried to wipe it up with a paper towel, but it got stuck to it and did nothing. Any tips from knowledgeable people out there?

A paper towel would not do the trick, as the syrup or ice cream is too thick …. try wiping the spill with a damp cloth, washing the cloth often until it is cleaned up, then Johnson and Johnson’s furniture spray or lemon wood oil afterwards.
